Refund Policy

The Refund Policy for each circumstance is noted below as a supplement to Rental Terms and Conditions.

No Show – Booking Cancelation
If the booking is cancelled more than 2 weeks prior to collection/booking time, a cancellation fee of AUD500 will apply.
No show or if the booking was cancelled (within 2 weeks of collection/booking time), you will not receive a refund of your rental charges up to a maximum of $3,000 (for long-term rentals).
In this case, any balance of your Security Bond is refundable generally within 10 business days.

Late Show – You Do Not Arrive To Collect The Vehicle At Booking Time
If your arrival at the collection point is delayed beyond 30 minutes, you should let us know that in writing by email or SMS before the booking time.
If your arrival is delayed beyond 60 minutes and you have not let us know about the delay, your booking will be cancelled.
If your booking was cancelled as a result of you do not arrive within 60 minutes of the booking time, you will not receive a refund of rental charges for that day; however, you are welcome to rebook the vehicle if it is still available for a booking.
If your booking was cancelled due to late show and if the vehicle is no more available for a rebook, your Security Bond is refundable (less any fees) generally within 10 business days. An Admin Fee of $100 may apply.
If your booking was cancelled due to a late show and if you decide to cancel the booking, you will not receive a refund of your rental charges up to a maximum of $3,000 (for long-term rentals). In this case, any balance of your Security Bond is refundable generally within 10 business days.

Safe Ontime Return – You Return The Vehicle By The Agreed Time With No Incident
Rental fee, second driver fee, and excess kilometre fee will be charged.
Depending on the penalty, admin fees, sanitisation fees, fuel fees (if not return full tank), and any fines (e.g. speeding fines, infringement notices) will be charged.
Security Bond is refundable generally within 21 business days from the vehicle return undamaged after deducting any outstanding fees charged. Any speeding fines & infringement notices are usually received within 21 days, so the bond will be on hold until 21 business days.
Rental Car Company will pay any refund due to You by such method as Rental Car Company may reasonably choose.

Early Return – You Return The Vehicle Before The Agreed Time
No refund will be made on any part of the rental period not used by you.
Other charges and refund procedures apply, depending on any incidents you may or may not have experienced.

Safe Return With An Incident – You Return The Vehicle By The Agreed Time With An Incident/s (e.g. damage)
Rental fee, second driver fee, and excess kilometre fee will be charged.
Depending on the penalty, admin fees, sanitisation fees, fuel fees (if not return full tank), and any fines (e.g. speeding fines, infringement notices) will be charged.
The cost of the incident will be determined by the Rental Car Company, together with other authorities, including repairers, insurance companies and/or local Police. Security Bond is withheld until the investigation is complete and the cost of the incident/s is determined.
If the cost of the incident (and other outstanding fees) is less than the security bond, those fees will be deducted from the Security Bond, and any outstanding balance will be refunded to the client/you.
If the cost of the incident (and outstanding fees) is more than the security bond, the client (you) is given the opportunity to pay the outstanding balance within an agreed period. If the outstanding balance gets delayed unreasonably, the case will be forwarded to a Depth Collection organisation and for a legal proceeding.

None Safe Return – You Decide Not To Return The Vehicle At The Agreed Return Location and Agreed Time
If there is to be any extension of the period of hire beyond that stated on the Rental Document (Page 1), the Rental Car Company must be notified, and it must agree to such extension in writing.
If you do not return the Vehicle within 60 minutes of the agreed return time, the Vehicle will be immediately tracked, disabled and reported to the Police as stolen. In this case, a recovery fee of $5,000 will be charged from you.
The cost of any incidents will be determined by the Rental Car Company, together with other authorities, including repairers, insurance companies and/or local Police. Security Bond is withheld until the investigation is complete and the cost of incidents is determined.
In this case, the cost of the incidents (and outstanding fees) is likely more than the security bond, and the client (you) is given the opportunity to pay the outstanding balance within an agreed period. If the outstanding balance gets delayed unreasonably, the case will be forwarded to a Depth Collection organisation and for a legal proceeding.
